- Field

- Fifty cents
- $50.00 bet (click to edit)
- First Past the Post
- Bets being settled on the first past the winning post or flag. Winnings not affected by subsequent amended results due to objections or Stewards Enquiries. (click to edit)
- First Show
- Refers to the first showing of odds offered on a race. (click to edit)
- Five-Ten

- Fixed Odds
- The odds given when you place your bet constitute the dividend you receive when the event finishes. Odds fluctuate during the pre-event period but in fixed odds betting, the odds which were up at the time you placed your bet are the ones you get. (click to edit)
- Flag
- A bet on four selections - 6 doubles, 4 trebles and one accumulator and 6 "Up and Down" bets in pairs - 23 bets in all. (click to edit)
- Fold
- An accumulator, typically preceeded by a number to indicate the number of selections in the accumulator. For example, a 4-fold bet has 4 events, a 5-fold bet has 5 selections. All must be successful to win. (click to edit)
- Forecast
- A bet which predicts the first and second (sometimes third, fourth etc.) places in an event. (click to edit)
- Form
- Historical record of the abilities of a selected runner. Or the state at which a player may be expected to perform, such as a golfer being at the top of his/her form. (click to edit)
- Full Cover
- All the possible permutations in a selection of bets. (click to edit)
- Futures
- Also known as ante-post betting. This is a bet placed on a future event, i.e. before the day of the even itself. Bets placed ante post typically give better odds. but are risky as if your horse, greyhound etc. is pulled out of the event then your bet may be void - or lost. (click to edit)
