Taking (US)
Betting on the underdog. In a match bet, the underdog is usually odds against, so the bettor is "Taking the odds". (click to edit)
Teaser (US)
A pointspread based bet where the bettor can move the line in his favour (in return for reduced odds). (click to edit)
Through the Card
Where a contestant jockey has won every race at a particular meeting. Similarly, a bet may be laid for a jockey to go Through the Card. (click to edit)
Tic Tac

Tipster
An often self-proclaimed expert on betting and gambling who gives tips on winners. (click to edit)
Tissue odds
A betting forecast projected by some expert. Not based on any declared forecast. (click to edit)
Totalisator
The Totalisator is run by the Horse Race Totalisator Board and is operated on all UK racecourses. It operates as a pool wherein investors' money, less a fixed percentage, is shared between backers of successful selections. (similar to Pari-Mutuel) (click to edit)
Tote Jackpot
Select the winners of the first six racing at the meeting nominated by the TOTE during the week. (click to edit)
Tote Placepot
Select a placed horse (as defined by the TOTE terms), in each of the six races at any nominated meeting. (click to edit)
Tote Quadpot
Select a placed horse (as defined by the TOTE terms), in each of the last four races, that would be in the PLACEPOT. Handy if your early selections are un-placed.<br />

Tote Scoop 6
Select the winners or placed horses in the six nominated races, as defined by the TOTE. Saturday & big meetings only. Worth an interest, especially when there is a roll-over, as there are 2 possible wins. All 6 winners, a place in each race, and a chance in the bonus race the following week, if you do get all 6 winners.<br />

Trainer's Selected
Where two entrants in the same race are made by a trainer, then that entrant starting at the shorter price is termed as being the trainer's selected.

Treble
Accumulator bet consisting of 3 selections in different events. The total return (stake + winnings) from each successive leg is automatically reinvested in the next leg. If there is a loosing leg, the bet fails. [see Accumulator] (click to edit)
Tricast
Select the 1st, 2nd and 3rd home in the correct order. By using the words FULL COVER TRICAST the 3 you select can finish in any order but this is 6 bets.<br />

Trixie

Twin Trifecta
This is a pair of trifecta bets on two races. The winning pool is split between winners of the first trifecta and winners of both of them.
